I describe a model for heavy meson decays based on an effective quark-meson lagrangian. I consider the heavy mesons S with spin and parity J = (1, 0), H with J = (1, 0) and T μ with J = (2, 1), i.e. S and P wave heavy-light mesons. Perturbative QCD Effects in Heavy Meson Decays

The amplitude for the exclusive nonleptonic decay of a heavy meson into two light pseudoscalar mesons is analyzed using the factorization formalism of perturbative QCD for exclusive reactions at large momentum transfer.
